Wechsler Becker, LLP is an eight attorney law firm established in 1988, focusing exclusively on family law litigation, mediation and arbitration.

 

Wechsler Becker, LLP is located in downtown Seattle's Columbia Center, one block from the courthouse. Martindale-Hubbell rates Wechsler Becker as an AV law firm, its highest rating, and lists the firm in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. The firm consists of five partners and two associates, all exclusively practicing family law.

 

Cases handled include high value/high profile divorces, complex parenting disputes, cohabitation cases, paternity actions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child relocations, and post-decree modifications of support and parenting plans. We also provide consulting services and litigation support for other attorneys.

 

The attorneys at Wechsler Becker, LLP have earned the respect of the legal community. Firm attorneys are frequently asked to teach other attorneys at legal education seminars. The majority of our attorneys have acted as the Chairperson of the Family Law Section of the King County Bar Association Family Law Section. Several of our attorneys act as Court Appointed Special Advocates and Guardians ad litem for children. Doug Becker, Alan Funk, and Michael Louden regularly serve as mediators and arbitrators at the request of other family law attorneys. Firm attorneys act as mentors for new members of the bar through the King County Bar Association's Family Law Mentor Program. Michael Louden acts in the capacity of pro tem family law commissioner. Wechsler Becker attorneys continue to take leadership positions with the Washington State Bar Association.
